Writes for the Pasadena Independent, the Arcadia Weekly, the Monrovia Weekly, and the Sierra Madre Weekly, now Hey SoCal.
From 7 February 2019 to March 2020, wrote content for a new Dining Section in the AMPS newspapers in an eponymous column entitled “Chew with Chu.” These pieces usually included interviews with the restaurant’s chef or owner(s) about their business, its history, and their food, as well as a review of a selection of dishes. Now, these stories live under the Dining section of the Hey SoCal website. Occasionally writes play reviews.
For January 2021, wrote four human interest stories on the pandemic’s impact:
- the first on working parents and their childcare struggles
- the second on children, mental health, and social connection
- the third on employment and the changes professionals have made to survive,
- and the last on the impact of the pandemic on the unhoused and housing insecure.
In June 2021, wrote a review of a study and meta-analysis published that year on study skills and time management, summarizing findings and offering suggestions for useful implementation for students and parents.
Has written ~45 articles for Beacon Media News to date.

Wrote, researched, and conducted interviews for online content and stories for the Pasadena Educational Foundation. Works under the Marketing Director, Monica Bosserman Lopez.
Stories and areas worked on included:

– PEF Arts programs like My Masterpieces and Open Stage,
– PEF Academic and Art Scholarships,
– PEF Summer,
– Volunteer Spotlights, and
– Spotlights on the PUSD Community.
The June 2020 Scholarship story on the Manwani Family Scholarships inspired the creation of a new scholarship, the Hopes and Dreams Scholarship, within the same month.
A September 28, 2021 story featuring Willard Elementary’s garden was republished and shared by local newspaper, Colorado Boulevard, on September 30, 2021.
A November 10, 2021 update on PUSD’s Farm to School program was republished and shared by local Newspaper, Pasadena Now, on November 11, 2021.
